PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Artist in Residence – Sulfur Studios (2019)
Piecing Starland (Queer) – Created a body of work that is specific to the Starland neighborhood in Savannah, GA.
- Used found/thrifted items from Starland to represent the Queer experience through decontextualization and re-assemblage.
- Hosted training sessions to teach pattern-making to the community and created a quilt from the resulting patterns.
Assistant to Aaron McIntosh (2016)
Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts:
As a Teaching Assistant to Aaron McIntosh, I was responsible for preparing lesson materials, equipment, and providing demonstrations on art techniques.
- Present subject matter to students under direction and guidance of the teacher.
- Tutored and assisted students individually and in small groups in order to help them master the assignments and reinforce concepts taught in class.
- Assisted in the Invasive Project, an ongoing fiber art based collection of southern queer stories.
- Responsible for printing (digital and hand), cutting, sorting, and machine quilting all aspects of project.
- Responsible for researching and documenting southern US Pride events.

Exhibition Manager (2016): “Stitched Queer Baltimore”
- Responsible for cross-functional coordination between teams to ensure communication with exhibition venues, coordination of effort across teams, transportation of art work, installation and deinstallation of the show.
Exhibition Management (2015): “Happy…at Green Spring”
- Developed and presented selected proposal to The Maryland Art Place for public exhibition of work
- Responsible for cross-functional coordination between teams to ensure on time installation and deinstallation of artwork in public space.
Studio Assistant to Mindy Sue Wittock/Meyer (2015)
- Assisted in the creation of a new series of soft sculptures. Duties included sewing and construction from patterns and hand stitching embellishments.
- Assisted with graphic design and research tasks.
Curation University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac (2014) “Invisible Light”
- Developed concept and design of exhibition around regional queer artists in and around Fox Valley of Wisconsin.
- Assisted in call for work, contacting artists and acquiring work, install, de-install, and publicity for the exhibition.
